At PSG, Idrissa Gueye is one of the undesirable players for whom it will be necessary to find a base this summer in order to lower the wage bill. The 32-year-old player is no longer in the plans – so much so that he will not be on the summer tour in Japan -, especially since his contract ends in June 2023. Faced with this situation, Galatasaray would be ready to welcome the Senegalese international, and a meeting must take place today between the representatives of the two clubs. But the Istanbulites will not enlist the reigning African champion at any price according to local information.
Galatasaray expects to recover Gueye without transfer compensation
Indeed, Galatasaray would not actually pay transfer compensation for Idrissa Gueye. According to sources from Turkey, the Istanbul club, which is apparently well aware of PSG’s situation with regard to its sales, would wait to recover the Senegalese free of any contract after he negotiated a break with the Parisian club. Negotiations would be on the right track in this direction, while the player wants PSG to pay him his last year of contract up to four million euros.
In fact, PSG have already announced to Galatasaray that Idrissa Gueye will be released soon according to certain indications. The Turkish club is ready to give the Parisian midfielder an annual salary of three million euros. However, at the same time, the Istanbul club would also have the Portuguese William Carvalho in the sights. A possible deal for the Parisian player is therefore not finalized for the time being.
